I don't believe we ever let anything go...that would be like the river jumping out from its banks and deciding to run up stream. Instead, we continue downstream...taking small bits off of each bank with us... The limbs of fallen trees, debris from storms...lost fishing poles...an old boot...a lone boatman drifting downstream...everything. We dare not let it go...for it defines us...it feeds us...
Together, they all make us an even stronger river.
Breanna and I saddled up this morning for a long awaited ride together. After seeing an article in the Register about local pilgramages, we decided to head out to the Carmel of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Valparaiso, NE to visit their chapel. It is a monastary of sisters who were relocated from Las Vegas nearly a decade ago, transplanted to the wonderful valley of paradise right in our own backyard. Wonderful place if you are ever afforded the time...
